Summer Games, Day Three

Day three of Summer Games took place on the high power range.

The targets are further away and the wind plays a much bigger role. We had big gusts of wind that added a lot of difficulty!

The first match of the day was the High Power Service Rifle.

There is a lot of walking back and forth from the firing line to the targets.

The second match of the day was the High Power Hunter Sport Rifle Match.

Cousin Tanner was the shooter of the day!

He had a great day of shooting and finished in the overall in both matches.

Our two boys shot well, but were frustrated with the consistency of their shots.  They discovered that we need to spend a little more time on high power for next year!  The results for the day were: Our oldest took silver in the overall iron sights division for the High Power Service Rifle Match, and Tanner took bronze (also in the overall iron sights division) and our second oldest took silver in the Junior division.  In the High Power Hunter Sport Rifle Match Tanner took bronze in the overall, our second oldest took gold in the junior division and our oldest took bronze in the junior division.

Here are our boys with their medals they won over all the matches!

On our last night the boys decided they needed to get in some more shooting so they decided to go rabbit hunting.

They didn't have much light left,

but they still got a couple!

 Fun memories!

We're already looking forward to next year's Summer Games adventure.
