Our garden started producing slowly at first, but soon...
we were reaping the fully bounty of a great harvest!
Our kids have learned what the results of work feel like...
and we have felt so blessed!
We have loved using our onions, peppers, and tomatoes!
We have canned lots of green beans and salsa.
Our freezers are full of roasted peppers, shredded zucchini, apricot nectar, fruit cocktail, and
plenty of jam.
Thanks to generous neighbors our jars are full of applesauce and pears.
We have enough tomato soup to feed a small army
and their families!
Thanks to our neighbor, Mabel, I got to learn how to make our cucumbers into sweet pickles...they taste like candy!
Our dehydrator is constantly drying: we have dried pears, apricots, peppers, squash and tomatoes.
And our squash plants have produced a small stockpile for the winter!
Our jars are full! 22 dozen jars are a lot of blessings to count one by one! I am so tired from all the work that harvesting requires, but I can't explain how good it feels!!
Congratulations, Jana! This reminds me so much of our canning days when you kids were home! This brings so much satisfaction--all the way around!!
