Sand and Sun

An airplane streaked across the blue sky...

Children ran across the sand, pure joy bubbling out of them in bursts of giggles....

Sand angels appeared,

Sand castles were built,

A beach babe sunbathed,

sand burials became the cool thing,

and a beach umbrella completed the scene.

Someone said "Aloha," and suddenly we were there.

It may not have been authentic Hawaiian sand, but it was pretty darn close.

We all left with a little sun on our cheeks and a lot of sand in our shoes.

and a few smiles too!

  1. uh... yeah, your trip was way more fun than ours. Never saw you at the Wal-Mart. OR the Home Depot (3 times). Or Tai Pan. Or Ross. Or TJ Maxx and More (which is FABULOUS by the way). Or any number of other places we went while trying to fix up and decorate my in law's condos. Not to worry... next week is Disneyland, and we are leaving the hammer at home!

  2. You should have joined us in the sand...although today my washing machine isn't liking all the pockets full of sand. My laundry room floor is now red!
