Summer Games: BBQ/Egg-Shoot/Birthday Boy

After our mine adventure we came back to the outdoor range and enjoyed a tasty bbq with my sister and her family.

It was really fun to get to spend time with them. They really live in a beautiful place.

I have the cutest nieces!

And sister!

After dinner, the party started! Every year at the end of the shooting season, our rifle club has an egg shoot. Since Summer Games signals the end of the season, our coach decided to have the egg shoot at Summer Games this year.

The egg shoot involves lots of eggs...

lots and lots of eggs,

and lots of shooting.

Everyone joins in!

Check out the egg yolk!

The little ones had so much fun...breaking an egg is an immediate reward that you hit what you were aiming at!

This guy tried and tried and finally broke 2 eggs!

There were a variety of shooting styles: his favorite was emptying his magazine in a matter of seconds. No eggs were safe!

I even got a chance to break a few!

Towards dusk, we brought out the shotguns. Many eggs were shattered and even a few bottles of milk. Tons of fun!

After the egg shoot, my awesome sister brought out a cake that she had made for our second-oldest.

We sang and celebrated his birthday that was hours away in the morning.

He also received a few fun gifts from our good friends. It was a fun end to an even funner day!
