I don't know how it happened, but all of a sudden my baby boy has turned fourteen!
We woke him up with a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday" and a pile of gifts.
With the deer hunt only a couple weeks away, he had one request: camouflage!
Camo boots are a must: last year he was wearing size 11, this year he is in size 14!
To complete the look, we got him some cold weather camo: pants and a coat.
We made him a chocolate birthday cake, but in order to prevent a fire, we decided that once you reach your teens, you go back to single digit candles.
When he got home from school that afternoon, he got dressed up in his new camo and had his brother cover him with leaves in the front yard.
You could only see his boot. He waited there quietly until his younger siblings arrived home from school and then he jumped up and scared them! We sure love our fourteen-year-old! He is a wonderful son and a loving brother.
What a fun birthday--I'm so glad I actually got to see those size 14s! It looks like my sizing is just about right! Congratulations, Big # 14!!
