Fishing

On the 24th of July, instead of fighting the crowd at the parade, we headed out to a nearby fish pond with the cousins.

The kids were excited to catch a fish, especially when they could see them swimming around.

It turned out to be a pretty tough day to fish, they weren't biting that much, but with some patience, we had some success. Even Dad caught one!

A fish is a fish no matter how small!

He caught a good-sized one!

Our youngest wanted one so badly! He tried and tried...

and finally hooked one!

Our second oldest is not the most patient one in our bunch...he has a time limit of about 20 seconds, but he also learned that fishing is not something one can hurry.

He finally hooked a little one too.

Our daughter waited and waited...

a little one finally found her worm to be tasty! And she was thrilled.

The cousins who came also had lots of fun...Hudson caught the first fish out of our bunch...and his first fish ever.

Preslee caught a big one!! She has the patience to wait for a big one to bite.

Cousin Quin caught the biggest fish of the day...a fat rainbow. He was tickled and could hardly hold onto it! We had a great day at the pond!
