Labor Day Camping

At the beginning of this month we went on our annual Labor Day Camping Trip. We went up Springville Canyon and enjoyed the weekend with family!

It was warm in the day and cool in the night....just perfect. Our daughter was up most of the first night worrying about bears...but we slept great the second night, except for a small throwing-up incident in the tent. No, I guess, we really didn't sleep well either night.

The older boys braved it out in the back of the truck.

It was fun to sit around the fire in the evenings!

During the day the kids couldn't get enough of the little creek that was right by us. They caught a million water skippers...and one small fish.

The men folk enjoyed football talk, strategy, and wondering what "could have been."

We all enjoyed some delicious food,

including Grandpa's mouth-watering dutch oven chicken.

The kids played several fun games put on by Aunt Alison...

they were so fun and very funny!

Uncle Trevor taught the boys a few card games.

We enjoyed pop and junk food...two camping essentials...also the reason for our midnight puking adventure.

We found many bugs up the canyon but this one was the cutest by far!

We really enjoyed our camping trip with our family!

  1. Jana, isn't it a wonderful blessing to have a family that likes to camp and be together?!? Those are memories that will last a life time.
